The Quinnipiac shuttle system gives students access to shopping, food, entertainment, Amtrak and Metro-North Railroad — at no additional cost.
The fixed schedule provides safe, convenient and reliable shared transportation between our campuses and surrounding community.

More than half of the shuttles are ADA complaint.
There is a dedicated Gold Parking shuttle that operates between Westwoods, Whitney Lot, and the Mount Carmel Campus. This shuttle runs on a continuous loop from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on academic days.
In addition, shuttle service to Whitney Lot begins as early as 6 a.m. and continues until 1 a.m. Most of our campus shuttles travel through Whitney Lot, with additional stops along each route. This provides service to Whitney Lot throughout the day, even outside of the dedicated Gold Parking Shuttle hours. The Whitney Lot is just off Whitney Avenue (see the Whitney Lot on a map).
The Westwoods Parking Lot shuttle is request-and-go prior to 8 a.m. and after 8 p.m. On academic days, the Gold Parking shuttle goes there on continuous loops. The Westwoods parking lot is on West Woods Road (see the Westwoods Lot on a map).
Shuttles run on a fixed schedule, and we make every effort to remain on time. However, traffic conditions or assisting a student on board may result in longer stops and occasional delays. Driver shift changes and breaks may also cause a brief gap in service for that shuttle. Please allow extra travel time when commuting between residence halls and campuses.

The Parking shuttle connects the Mount Carmel Campus with the Westwoods and Whitney parking lots. Students are encouraged to park their cars in those lots and use the shuttle to campus to avoid delays due to limited parking on campus.

The Bobcat Transit shuttle loop connects the Mount Carmel and York Hill campuses with additional smaller stops along the way. It runs 7 days per week.

The shuttle runs to North Haven and Hamden shopping centers on Wednesday and Friday evenings and on weekends according to the schedule below.
The essentials you need are never far away. Our Shopping and Restaurant shuttle route connects students with shopping districts in both Hamden and North Haven, featuring grocery, clothing, box-store and craft stores, as well as a host of nationally known and local restaurants.

The shuttle is available on weekends during the Fall semester, except during Thanksgiving Break.
The Union Station/Downtown New Haven shuttle route connects students with the heart of New Haven, featured shopping, dining, music and theater venues, cultural centers, museums and more. Union Station is a hub for train service by Amtrak, Metro-North Railroad and Shore Line East, so students can easily hop on to get places like New York City for a day trip, or Bridgeport where they can connect with the Port Jefferson Ferry.

This shuttle connects students to Union Station in New Haven during university breaks to assist students traveling home by train or bus. Train service from Union Station is provided by Amtrak, Metro-North Railroad and Shore Line East. The station will also be used by the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield line once it is complete. The station also is a hub for many private coach and bus services.
Students can take a Metro-North train from New Haven to Bridgeport to get to the Bridgeport/Port Jefferson Ferry, which is approximately a 5-minute, outdoor walk from the train station in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Fall 2026 booking is now open!
College Break Bus offers round-trip or one-way rides to locations in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York during Thanksgiving break and Spring break. Buses offer free Wi-Fi, live GPS tracking, an onboard restroom and space for luggage. Rides are for college students only. The on-campus pickup location is North Lot, outside the RecWell Center.

We do not provide shuttles to the airport, but here are some options for getting a ride to the airport:
