Costs and Budgets

Below is an estimate of costs that a Physician Assistant student may incur while attending Quinnipiac University (A3.12f). All university-billed costs are subject to annual increases, which occur each summer. Costs not billed by the University are estimated based on information collected by multiple sources. Please refer to individual tabs for information related to financial aid and the cost of attendance breakdown.

Tuition and Institutional Program Fees

Other Costs Related to Program

This chart serves as a breakdown of the estimated expenses required of students so they understand the costs they may face while attending Quinnipiac's MHS in Physician Assistant program. These expenses are not paid directly to Quinnipiac as part of your tuition and fees but are factored in our total cost of attendance.  This breakdown includes such things as medical equipment, subscriptions, memberships and estimated additional travel and housing for SCPEs.

*Transportation allowance is based on an average mileage of 25 miles for didactic courses and 75 miles for clinical courses.  Students traveling by plane to a clinical site would pay the prevailing ticket prices.

 

Additional Expense - Health Insurance

The MHS in Physician Assistant program requires that all students must have health insurance. Students may elect for health insurance provided by the university or choose to obtain their own insurance coverage from another resource. Quinnipiac offers policies for the first semester (May to August) as well an an annual plan (August to August). The cost of the annual plan is $4,995 for academic year 2025-26.

  • For Fall: June 1

  • For Spring: November 1

*Forms will be accepted after the designated date and complete files are processed in the order received based on the time of year you are seeking assistance and funding levels.

Complete and submit the FAFSA form

Students wishing to be offered any form of assistance other than scholarships will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. This is by far the most important document in the financial aid process.

This form is required to be offered financial aid and provides information including financial aid, enrollment plans, outside resources (including tuition reimbursement) and authorization to release information.

Grant funds are awarded to our full-time, on-ground (not online programs) graduate students who are U.S. citizens and demonstrate high financial need as evaluated by the financial aid office.

  • If applicable, certain students will also be asked to provide parental information* in order to apply.
    *Parent application is required for grant consideration for unmarried students under the age of 26 or married students under the age of 24.
  • Students receiving tuition waivers or university-based scholarships will not be given priority consideration for need-based grants.
