A foundation for future scientists, physicians and other health professionals
Our master’s in biomedical sciences program is specially designed as a cost-effective and seamless bridge between undergraduate and graduate coursework to meet the educational needs of students planning to complete their education in medical school, PhD programs or employment in the research/development industry and diagnostic companies.
In addition to our traditional biomedical sciences program, which takes between 1 1/2 to 2 years to complete, Quinnipiac offers this 1-year, accelerated pre-med, non-thesis option for medical-track students, intentionally designed to strengthen preparations for MCAT for medical school or other health-related graduate programs. This academic enhancement program provides a 12-month pathway to your master’s in biomedical sciences and is suited for students with a strong science background. Coursework is focused on a comprehensive study of health and disease, which serves as the foundation of modern medical practices and health care research. Graduates gain the knowledge, skills and training to lead today’s rapidly changing health care industry.
Through our BMS 1-year option, you will strengthen your MCAT preparation for medical school while enhancing your ability to tackle complex and sophisticated laboratory research in our state-of-the-art facilities. Coursework will underscore the biomedical science knowledge, reasoning and critical-thinking skills that are applicable to real-world health care situations and sought after by highly competitive medical schools.
