Admission Requirements

Your GPA alone doesn’t tell the full story of your academic strengths and talents. That’s why we look at many factors when considering each application for admission, especially as those factors relate to your specific program. We look at subject-specific courses you’ve taken and AP credits you’ve earned, as well as awards and other achievements.

  • High school transcript

  • A personal essay on a topic of particular meaning and interest to you that tells us who you are and speaks to your values, goals and aspirations as a student

  • At least one letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor or someone who can reflect on your dedication and work ethic

  • 4 years of English

  • 3+ years of mathematics

Apply to the BFA Program

The bachelor of fine arts (BFA) program delivers a more intensive approach to acquiring the kind of real-world knowledge that drives the industry today. With a 63-credit load in the core and FTM curriculum and no minor requirement, students take more classes in their chosen field and have a greater opportunity to explore areas of interest through an expanded choice of FTM electives in production practice, history and theory.

A separate application is required to enter the BFA program.

High School and Transfer Applicants

Current high school and transfer students who have been admitted to Quinnipiac University may apply immediately for admission to the BFA program. Applications are rolling and may be submitted at any time. Decision letters will be sent out September 15 and February 15 after the applications have been reviewed by the BFA Committee.
