QU Academy for High School Students

Academics

QU Academy empowers motivated high school students to jumpstart their college careers before they arrive on campus. By enrolling in select courses from our School of Communications, School of Education, School of Health Sciences and College of Arts & Sciences, local students in our partner districts can explore their interests while earning transferable college credits.

Get a head start on your college education

Accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), Quinnipiac University designed QU Academy to enable dedicated high school students to take college-level courses from the comfort of their high school classrooms.

Taught by high school instructors certified by Quinnipiac University, these courses provide a deep, hands-on exploration of subjects that prepare students for success in college and beyond. With a rotating list of courses, participating students can explore areas of interest while showcasing a dedication to learning that helps their applications stand out in the eyes of college admissions representatives.

With QU Academy, you’ll graduate having:

A strong understanding of college-level material
An official transcript with transferable college courses and credits from a competitive university
An early advantage in your future field of study

Cost: $50 per credit, plus a $25 non-refundable administrative processing fee. Some costs may vary.

Giving Access to a Proxy or Authorized User

Students may consent to give access to a proxy (parent, guardian or other individual) so that Quinnipiac University faculty and staff can discuss relevant matters with the proxy. Students should print, complete and sign the FERPA Consent to Release Dual Enrolled High School Student Information Form, providing the proxy name and indicating if the proxy should have access to transcripts, grades and/or financial information.

It is best to complete this form and submit it during registration. To consent to proxy access after registration, send the completed form via email to onestop@qu.edu. The consent remains in effect for one year. To revoke consent before that time, email onestop@qu.edu.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I request a transcript?

When your course is completed and you have your final grade, you may submit a request to order your transcript using Parchment.

Visit the Parchment website to order your transcript

Transcripts are processed electronically at the time you place the order. If you need a transcript reflecting final grades, or your degree posted on the transcript, please ensure that you select the appropriate ordering option. Quinnipiac University has authorized Parchment to provide electronic transcript ordering. Transcripts can be ordered using your credit card. Your card will only be charged after the order has been completed.

The site guides you throughout the ordering process, including delivery options and fees. Multiple transcripts may be ordered in a single session by adding them to the cart. Each standard academic transcript is $10.

Order updates will be emailed, and you can check your order status or history online.
