The Grove: Foundations in Project-Based Collaborative Research and Consultation micro-credential is awarded to current Quinnipiac students who participate in the Immersive Curricular Experience as part of their residency in The Grove.
This Level I badge recognizes students who have successfully engaged in collaborative, project-based learning that addresses real-world challenges. Learning spans four core areas: community engagement, environmental sustainability, equity and inclusion, and health and education. Through hands-on work with local organizations and campus initiatives, students take ownership of projects that create measurable social impact.
You should pursue this micro-credential if:
You are an undergraduate student at Quinnipiac University
You are a resident student or mentor living in The Grove
You want to build transferable skills and present your success stories
This program takes place over the course of a few months during your residency in The Grove as either a student or a mentor.
While participating in immersive project-based learning activities, students build transferable skills in project planning, team collaboration, applied research, and consulting. They learn how to define project goals, manage timelines, communication with stakeholders, and present actionable insight.
Attend the CELP presentations on Brainstorming and Ideation and Project Analysis
Be an active participant in discussion around key topics in group meetings
Plan and create a review of literature and/or an annotated bibliography
Complete a student reflection and peer review of participation during CELP
Submit poster project and/or project debrief
Assessment of completion of micro-credential requirements is completed by faculty evaluators observing learner performance and completion of required components.

These badges reflect the learner's acquisition of skills, vocabulary or best practices that will be beneficial and relevant outside of the classroom within an authentic working environment.
By earning a micro-credential, learners across a wide array of industries, verticals and professional fields are able to showcase the acquisition of specialized knowledge that offers unique value in the workplace. Micro-credentials are flexible and versatile, designed and delivered in an accelerated format by our experienced faculty and industry thought leaders who understand critical shortages and skills gaps.
All students who complete a micro-credential associated with academic credit or co-curricular experiences will receive a designation on their transcript and a digital badge through Credly. Micro-credential earners are encouraged to share their achievements on resumes, social media platforms and e-portfolios.
Learners can begin their pursuit of micro-credentials at any level; individuals who are new to the field are best suited for Participation or Level I badges, whereas experienced professionals might be more interested in advanced Level III Badges or Level IV Certifications.
