You are a very special class for Quinnipiac — and to me. You are the centennial class; most of you will complete your bachelor’s or master’s degree as Quinnipiac celebrates its 100th birthday. Passion, drive, and ambition are stitched into our very DNA. It is what defines us, what drives us and what makes us unique.
Your time at Quinnipiac will shape you as a person. And your passions will shape this institution. You will take a piece of Quinnipiac with you, and you will leave a piece of yourself at Quinnipiac.
Throughout your time here, you will learn, you will grow and, yes, you will stumble. And I will, too. We will get up, dust off, and keep moving forward. That is how we grow as individuals, as a community and as a university.
I encourage you to believe in yourself, to strive for your best — and also to take some educated risks. Take a course in a subject you know nothing about. Try an intramural sport that’s new to you. Travel somewhere you have only dreamed about. Reach outside your comfort zone. It’s the best way to learn and grow.
Throughout the coming months and years, come on over and say hi when you see me on campus. Or drop me an email or DM on Instagram. I would love to get to know you.
